Summer Camp

This summer I am going to Camp for the first time! It is a day camp, so no overnights. We get to ride a big white school bus to camp! Right now my favorite part is horseback riding lessons and swimming lessons. Today I rode Ladybug. She has a special net on her eyes so the flies don't bite her.

It's Showtime!

We went to see Disney Princesses on Ice in April. I was so excited! I dressed up in my Snow White dress and got to wear a crown. My favorite part was when Ariel was singing so close to where we were sitting. We had a great day and I can't wait to go again!

Clear the Sidewalk!

Whoo-hoo! I have a new tricycle! Pretty flash, don't you think? That big, long handle in the back is so that Mummy or Daddy can navigate while I cruise along. I can reach the pedals, but it's a bit of a stretch so I'm not very good at pedaling just yet. I love my new trike. It even has a little bell on the handle bar that I can ring. We were supposed to be in a bike parade last weekend, but somebody named Ike came into town and rained on our parade. Maybe we can have our parade next month. I'll keep you posted!

"C" is for Cookie!

Hello, Friends! Look at this cookie! Is that a big one or what? The family met some of our friends at the mall the other day. We rode on the carousel and got to play in some really neat backyard playhouses! After we ate lunch in the food court we decided to get cookies for dessert. Mine had pink and blue sprinkles on it and it was as big as my head. It was sooo yummy. What a great day!

The Unattended Easter Basket

Shhhhh! I found Keira's Easter basket on Mummy and Daddy's bed. (It slips Mummy's mind sometimes that I am getting so big and tall that I can reach up onto the bed now!) I pulled the basket down and started playing with the eggs inside. Did you know these eggs are full of candy?! Most of it chocolate candy?!! This is a wonderful discovery! I love the way chocolate melts all over my hands. I like to squeeze my hands together and feel it squish between my fingers! lol However, it is all covered up in these annoying foil wrappers. They don't taste very yummy.

Uh-oh! Caught!
Quick look the other way!
Maybe she won't notice if a piece of candy is missing.

What was that?
Chocolate on my face?
Drat! Foiled again!

Happy Easter

Welcome to my first Easter experience! We all know last year was technically my first Easter, but I was too young to enjoy it all. This year I got to be more involved. Yesterday the whole family dyed Easter eggs. I was fascinated by the preparations! We had to cover the table with newspapers to protect it, then we had to get a small cup for each color of dye, and of course we had to have the eggs! I helped with the newspaper part. (Getting everything ready wore me out so I actually slept through the part where the eggs magically changed from white to different colors.)

This morning I got to wear my bee-yoo-tee-full new dress to church! I looked just like a princess, don't you think? There was an Easter egg hunt before church started.
At first I didn't know what everyone was doing running around so fast, but I caught on pretty quick! I found 3 eggs all by myself and put them in my basket. I did get a little confused. Some of the eggs were hidden in a toy box. I thought that meant the toys were fair game, too, and I picked out a lovely duck puppet. I had to put it back though. The egg hunt was fun! Maybe we can have one at home just for giggles.
After the egg hunt, we went to the church service and said "Happy Easter" to all our friends. I fell asleep on Mummy shoulder and slept all the way home. It was a very busy day. I hope you had a good Easter, too!

Picnic in the Park

Hello all! Today was such a lovely day outside that we had a picnic lunch at the park! First we went to Chick-Fil-A and picked up some nuggets and fruit, then we headed over to a new park. We decided to call it the Red Park because all the slides are red.

Mummy has a really neat picnic blanket that she keeps in the boot of the car. It's all soft like a regular blanket on one side then the other side is protected so it doesn't get wet. It's very handy. Today we spread the blanket out under the slides! It was nice and shady there. After we ate, we played for a while. We played chase and climbed up and down the steps and went down the slides a couple of times. It was so much fun! I can almost go down the slide all by myself. Almost.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Hello all! Since my sister got to post her new pictures, I decided I would post some good Irish Luck! Mummy found this great sparkley green hat and I currently LOVE hats, so what do you think? Huh? Do I look Irish? Or is it more of a Kiwi green?

Me and My dad!

Hi there everyone! Yes it's been a while but we are still growing big and strong. I have to take a lot of the credit for mummy and daddy being absent from the outside world. I am very active at night and my rents can't keep up with me as you can see daddy took a nap with me during the afternoon so he could try and keep up with me at 3 in the morning.
I am doing much better now since my tummy is letting me know when too much is too much and I don't have pains in my gut. Daddy said he likes it now a lot more too that I am crawling and not need him to get me around and see what big sister is doing.

_-
First I found her playing with Delihla and then it was onto the pirate hats. We have lots of fun together. When Keira is trying to pick me up and carry me I tend to sqawk a bit as it's not as smooth as when Mummy or Daddy do it but it is still nice to have my big sister show me the ropes. Some times mummy and daddy have to tell Keira and me to stop playing so rough. Mummy says Keira is in her terrible twos but I think she is swell.

Well lots of love to you I'll catch up with you soon. Keira and I are off for a ride.

Latest Discoveries

Hello! I have made some pretty amazing discoveries recently. First, I have to tell you about these wonderful things called hands. They are attached at the ends of my arms, and they are quite tasty I must say! Have you tried them? Mmmm! They are especially nice as an appetizer. Just whets the appetite.

I have also been able to join in the conversation lately. I'm just getting started so my part in the convo is pretty limited, but I still contribute. I like nice long discussions. I could go on for 10 or 15 minutes on tummy time vs. the johnny jump up. Of course to Mummy and Daddy it just sounds like Oooo, Ahhh, Eeee!

I can laugh, too. I really like to laugh at Keira. She is so funny, and we have lots of fun playing on the floor together. She teaches me all kinds of new things. We've been working on the ABC song. She's got it down perfect, but all I can do are the vowels. One day I'll get it.

Things are looking up

Can you believe I'm 10 weeks old already? I'm still working on smiling and laughing...let me tell you, adults go nuts for that stuff! It is so funny to watch them get excited at even a little smile. I've also discovered a new perspective...the tummy view. I can hold my head up and look around. One thing I've noticed, it's really fuzzy down here. Pretty soon I'll be crawling and getting into all sorts of things. I'll keep you posted on my expeditions!

Tubby Time!

Ahhhhh! Nothing more relaxing than a nice warm tubby. Of course, it's always best to have an expert tubby giver in residence, which my daddy is. He's had lots of practice. He is the best...I told him to go pro but I guess they don't have a formal league yet.

Waking up to the world!

Hello all! Let me tell you, after all that sleeping I was doing I am ready to look around and see what's going on in the world.

My big sister Keira (who isnt really all that big-she's just bigger than ME!) has been showing me some of the ropes. She introduced me to Big Hugs which are nice, and she also shares lots of stuff with me. I'm not sure what cookies and chippies taste like but once I have teeth and find out, I'll be sure to report back! I've also discovered that I can smile, and let me tell you folks, smiling is one powerful weapon! Any adult within range is immediately drawn to me and under my control! Muh-hahahaha! Mummy has a box called a camera and has been trying to capture evidence of this power...wait, what is that light? Whoa! I like that flash! Do it again!

Ahh! Glorious Sleep!

There are lots of things you take for granted until they are taken away. Things like breathing and uninterrupted sleep! Ever since my last surgery all I want to do is sleep and eat and sleep some more. It is a wonderful thing to be able to breathe normally. It's a whole new world for me. (for the folks too!) Excuse me...time for another nap!

Not a good family trend

You all may remember that my big sister Keira had RSV in November of '05. Well she had to stay in the pediatric intensive care at the hospital for a couple days. Guess what? I got to stay there, too!
On February 5 I had to have surgery on my wee nose and while I recovered from the procedure, I stayed in the PICU just like my big sister! The nurses were really nice and they remembered Mummy and Daddy from Keira's visit. Mummy says I didn't have nearly as many boxes next to my bed as Keira did, but that's a good thing.

After the surgery I had to have 2 plastic tubes in my nose for 2 weeks to help everything heal properly. They are really uncomfortable, but I guess overall they're OK. Mummy had to use a really loud vacuum machine to clean out my nose every few hours. We both hated that, but I couldn't breathe through my nose without doing it so a necessary evil.

In the pictures you can tell my little bitty face is swollen from the surgery. It was no picnic I can tell you. Good news is it's done! My first nose job at 1 month old! lol

Making an Entrance

Daddy claims it was all in Mummy's head from the beginning. Ms Jeanean said I was to make my debut on New Year's Eve. Mummy was horrified to think my birthday would forever be eclipsed by Christmas celebrations, but Daddy had visions of lovely tax deductions. Through all the predictions and expectations, all the signs pointing to a pre-Christmas emergence, all the guessing and hoping, Mummy kept saying she would be happy if I waited until at least January 4th. That's why Daddy is convinced Mummy set the whole thing up.

At our doctors appointment January 3rd, Ms Jeanean told Mummy that since it didnt look like I was going to leave my nice, warm apartment voluntarily, I was to be evicted. The next day. Which just happened to be January 4th-the day Mummy had been talking about for 9 months. So, we called Daddy, got a reservation for 10am at the hospital and made sure everything was ready.

We all got to the hospital on time. Mummy and Daddy watched Harry Potter 3 while everything got started and they began pumping pitocin into Mummy just before noon. I was born a short time later at 3:09pm. I was 19 1/2 inches long and 7lbs 6 & 3/4 oz and blessedly, perfectly healthy.

Please check this site every so often for updates and new photos of me as I grow.
